Mark Faulkner is president and chief executive officer of Baptist Health Care. He joined Baptist in 1993 as an administrative resident. In 1999, Faulkner was named administrator of Jay Hospital and in 2004 became vice president of operations at Baptist Hospital. He became senior vice president of Baptist Health Care and president of Baptist Hospital in 2006. In 2010, he became executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health Care, the only locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare organization in northwest Florida and south Alabama. BHC comprises four hospitals, two medical parks, Baptist Manor, Baptist Leadership Group, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, Lakeview Center, Baptist Medical Group, and Cardiology Consultants. With more than 6,700 employees and employed physicians, Baptist Health Care is among the largest non-governmental employers in northwest Florida.
