Planning meeting for Escambia Reads! – the new name of our soon-to-launch Escambia County Campaign for Grade Level Reading.

·         Please see attached LOI submitted to the Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign earlier this month for background on our campaign.

·         Escambia County is finally on the state grade-level reading map! Now the work begins.

·         Briefly, here is what we will work out during this meeting: We will launch the campaign in the C.A. Weis attendance zone area in Year 1 while we build capacity and resources to scale to additional sites in coming years. This effort was borne out of our 32505 work group organized in September 2018.

·         Homework: Read the attachments, check out the Florida Grade-Level Reading website, and bring your ideas and suggestions for Year 1 strategies!
