Engaged communities are at the heart of student success. We are building a community of supporting adults who want to share responsibility in fostering the success of every child.
This meeting is for stakeholders living, working, and worshiping in the 32505 ZIP code of Pensacola.
At our January meeting, you voted to prioritize access to programs and services and expansion of effective interventions as two focus areas to shape our work in 32505.
You also voted to prioritize several key initiatives, namely Handle with Care/Trauma-informed approaches and a Parents Council/Fatherhood engagement effort.
A subgroup of our 32505 team is also working on submitting a letter of intent to the Campaign for Grade Level Reading, focusing first on the area around C. A. Weis before expanding throughout 32505 and, ultimately, Escambia County at large.
· During our February 2019 meeting, we will refine our goals and action plan, and invite additional guests to join us who intersect with these initiatives
· You are invited to our meeting at C.A. Weis Community School. We will meet inside the Innovation Center (library) – use the entrance on Q Street
· Please forward this invitation to your colleagues who may be interested in this project, which is described in depth on page 16 of Achieve Escambia’s 2018 cradle to career community report. Check out the link to see where we’ve been and where we want to go.
